Whitechapel Bell Foundry, Whitechapel Road E1. Britain's oldest manufacturing company has been in business since Elizabeth 1 was on the throne. They recently made the 'Bell of Hope', a gift from the City of London to the City of New York in the wake of Sptember 11th. Famous bells include the original 'Liberty Bell' and 'Big Ben'.

The East London Mosque, Whitechapel Road E1.
A large number of Muslims live in London, particularly East London. I'm not a religious person myself, and I doubt that a religion that won't let men and women use the same door is likely to convert me.
